Hi, I’m Megan Martin—a San Diego native, born at Balboa Naval Medical Center. I grew up in Southern California but traded the coast for Texas as soon as I could. Today, I call McKinney home, where I live with my husband and our children.
My journey with kids started early: I began nannying professionally and coaching cheerleading and gymnastics at 14 and continued through college. After going to college for Child Development and Psychology from Irvine, CA, I spent 13 years as a professional nanny before welcoming my own little ones.
Safety is at the heart of everything I do. I’m a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) through NHTSA and Safe Kids Worldwide, and a dedicated survival swim instructor. Whether it’s securing a car seat or teaching a child to float, I partner with families to protect their most precious cargo—in the water and on the road.
When my son was an infant, I discovered Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) after learning that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4. Determined to protect him, I enrolled him in ISR lessons and ensured he completed every refresher course.

Inspired by the program’s impact, I applied to become a certified ISR instructor in 2018 and was accepted into the training program in 2019. My daughter was born in 2020, and she began ISR lessons in 2021. I proudly served as a certified ISR instructor from 2019 to 2025.

In late 2025, I traveled to Colorado for advanced training, where I worked in the water alongside experienced instructors. This hands-on experience introduced me to new teaching techniques and deepened my ability to serve families effectively.
Though I’m no longer affiliated with ISR, I’m excited to continue this vital work independently. I now offer survival swim and skill-based lessons for:

-
Infants starting at 5 months
-
Children of all ages
-
Adults (newly added!)
